The Dolphin FIS System is a high-end system that delivers high-end results. The Dolphin FIS system benefits the user by reducing vertical sheer and minimizing soft tissue deformation. The FIS system within the mattress uses active Laser Doppler Flowmetry (LDF) to analyze and the adjust the surface to remove pressure allowing normal blood flow to all skin surfaces, saving fragile skin, and promoting wound healing. This system is also ideal for users who have had flap surgery or skin grafts. Because of the versatility of this system, it helps relieve pressure sores (up to stage four), as well as recovery with stabilized spinal cord injuries (with doctor approval). A unique feature of this system is that once the patient is transferred onto the surface, the system automatically adjusts to the patient’s weight and the surface area to maximize the benefits.
